Côte d'Azur the French name for French Riviera, is the southeast
most region in France, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It is bounded
to the east by the Italian border. The French Riviera is one of the
most famous resort areas in the world, composed of Nice, Cannes, St.
Tropez, and Antibes. The area become popular in the late 19th and early
20th centuries with regular visitors and residents such as Coco Chanel,
Winston Churchill, Grace Kelly, Matisse, Brigitte Bardot, and Picasso.
With 300 days sunshine, the French Riviera offers a mild climate throughout
the year. Temperatures vary from 60 - 90°F.
